On the previous question of tattoos--
Well, a bunch of you got it right, but Jaz was first:
"ummm, let's see.... your tattoo on your arm is usually
covered by an arm-band. And in the episode "If the Shoe
Fits", the tattoo on your arm was totally un-covered. I
think thats right anyway.!"
Absolutely.
Lots of you asked about the sci-fi project with Claudia
Christian, so here's the scoop. It's called Anne Manx
and the Ring of Minotour, starring Claudia Christian,
Patricia Tallman, and yours truly. It's a sequel to
Lives of the Cat, which Claudia and Patricia
did together as well. It's an audio book from the
Radio
Repertory Company of America, written by Larry M.
Weiner, and produced like a radio play --with effects and
music, and all that groovy genre stuff. We start production
this summer and I'll let you know when it's out. It'll be
broadcast on web radio, and available to buy on the internet
and at bookstores. If you want to check out Lives of
the Cat, you can find it on the merchandise page of
Claudia's
website. It's interesting that a lot of you were hoping
that it would be a feature film, because as a matter of fact
there is just such a film in the works for Claudia and me
now! It's still in infancy stages, so that's all I can tell
you at the moment, but I'll keep you posted. The producers
will be happy to hear there's so much interest in a movie
with the two of us together!
"I saw the picture of you and Dorian Cleavenger posted from
the Pittsburgh Comicon. Have you, or are you planning to
model for him? He is an awesome artist."
-- Scott
Answer-- I agree completely! Well, you saw
the future with that one didn't you? Yes, while I was in
Pittsburgh I modelled for Dorian (he is based in Pittsburgh
and has a studio there). He created the painting, brought
it to Motor City, and unveiled it last weekend. Amazing,
huh!

"I was looking at the Dragon*Con gathering and was wondering
if you will be signing autographs. the Dragon*Con site
didn't mention anything about it..."
-- Sheila
Answer-- I've never been to a convention
that tried to stop me from signing autographs, I don't know
if I would agree to do one that did. Sometimes they have
rules where we can only sign at certain times and places,
but they always manage to make it happen one way or another!
So, to answer your question-- you bet I will. No one can
stop me! And I look forward to seeing you there.
"I loved Dorian's gorgeous mermaid painting of you - wow! I
had planned to get one of the 8x10s at the Motor City
Comicon , but they were sold out by that point (doh), ....if
I could get one in the future either from you or him that
would be fab. :) How did you end up posing for him?"
-- Sarah, aka the abbagirl
Dorian and I met last year at the Infinite Visions Con in
Boston. We do a lot of the same shows so we became friends
and started talking about doing some projects together.
When I found out I was going to Pittsburgh, we set up a
modelling session and the rest was all Dorian. He's a
genius, don't you think? If you're interested in buying
8x10s or anything else of his, check out his merchandise
page at
www.dorianart.com/merchandise.html.
(Note from the webmaster:The painting may not
be listed on Dorian's site yet, but you can still order
mini-prints (MPRT) or reprints (RPRT) on his merchandise
page by requesting "The Revelation" by name.)
You might be interested to know that he's working on a
second painting of me now, and that there is talk of making
a comic book together as well. You heard it first!
This is fun you guys! I love getting feedback from you and
I think this is such a cool opportunity for me to respond to
you as well. Plus I love it that you guys are the first to
get all the new info!
Rock hard and let love rule,

Many of you asked how my tattoos are covered during the
show, and I'd like to put it out there to see if any of you
know the answer. For bonus points, can anyone name the
episode where one of them peeked through?
Why don't you help out Joxer? He's like the most pathetic
guy in the world.
-- Kim
Answer-- you haven't seen "For Him
the Bell Tolls" have you? It was my first Xena episode ever,
and a ball to shoot. Aphrodite helps Joxer out quite a bit,
at times, when she feels like it. It's so fun to see Ted be
glamorous!
What was your fave moment in filming Xena- a practical joke
or something that just had you busting up laughing so hard
your face hurt?
-- Bat
Answer-- The Scene in "Little Problems"
when Renee and I first appeared as twin Vikings trying to
get into the night club. Right in the middle of shooting our
horns got tangled up, my helmet slid right down the middle
of my face and there it stayed for the rest of the scene. It
was all we could do to get through it without bursting into
hysterics, and all of my friends who saw the show could
tell!
Speaking of Renee:
I think the chemistry between Aphrodite and Gabrielle is
great and it really looks like you two have a lot of fun
with it. I was wondering in those episodes... what's it like
working with Renee?
-- Amanda
Answer-- Well, you can imagine that being
joined to the hip with someone for an entire day is a pretty
fast way to get to know someone! The first time Renee and I
rehearsed the oil wrestling scene from "Little Problems,"
especially the part where we were on the ground with the
twins on top of us, the four of us and the entire crew were
laughing so hard that we could barely get through the
rehearsal. (By the way, this included the delivery of my
most embarrassing line to date-- any guesses as to what that
was?) Afterward, the director (Allison Liddi, whom I adore)
said "it's a good thing our actresses don't have any egos!" -
-Which describes Renee beautifully. She is kind, patient,
always professional, always enthusiastic, and a joy to play
with.
I was hoping you might be able to help me get some info on
how I might obtain your autograph. Can you help me out?
-- Crystal
Answer-- Well you've got two options. One
is come to a convention where I am appearing. That way we
get to actually meet each other face to face, plus they can
be pretty fun! (Check out Future Sightings for events near
you.) The other way is to use the merchandising page that we
are working on as we speak. It will be finished very soon
(you can sign up on the mailing list to be notified when
it's up), and you will have a bunch of pictures to choose
from.
...and that's about all I've got time for right now! But
please keep the questions coming-- this is fun!
